2005 NEW SMYRNA BEACH MERCURY OUTBOARD REDFISH-TROUT CHALLENGE
GRAND PRIZE Outboard Motor
Each boat that weighs in a tournament-eligible fish receives an entry to win a 2005 Mercury Outboard 60 hp four-stroke EFI outboard motor, valued at over $6,700. This will be effective for Saturday and Sunday providing a chance to receive two entries, one per boat per day. The drawing for the motor will be 5:00 p.m. at Sunday's awards presentation. The tournament entrant must be present to claim the motor prize. The entrant will have two (2) minutes to claim the prize before another slip is drawn. The winner is responsible for all taxes.

BOAT AWARDS
Boat awards are based on the teams that have the most species and total weight. For instance if only one boat has two species, they will be the winner of the top boat awards. If two boats have two species, then the team with the most weight will be the winner, with the other boat assuming the next position. Each boat is allowed to weigh two redfish and two trout per day. Tournament cash awards are based on total number of entries less 10 percent.
Example: 70 boats entered at $75 per boat = $5,250 less 10% = $4,725 total available cash purse. If fewer or greater than 70 boats enter, prize money will be adjusted accordingly.

Cash awards based on 50 percent of available cash purse.
3rd Place: 10 percent 2004 actual award – 499.50
FISH CATEGORY AWARDS
There are two fish categories, redfish and trout. Awards are based on the total weight for each species over the two days of fishing. Each team is allowed to weigh two redfish and two trout per day. Cash awards based on 50% of available cash purse.
RANGER BOATS Redfish Cash awards based on 25 percent of the available cash purse.
2nd Place: 7.5 percent 2004 actual award - $374.62
3rd Place: 5 percent 2004 actual award - $249.75
CAROLINA SKIFF Trout Award
Cash awards based on 25 percent of the available cash purse.2nd Place: 7.5 percent 2004 actual award - $374.62

BOSTON WHALER Lady Angler Award
The woman weighing in the heaviest tournament-legal fish receives an engraved plaque and a prize package.
MINN-KOTAYoung Angler Award (age 16 and under)
Young angler weighing in the heaviest tournament-legal fish receives an engraved plaque and a prize package.
GLOOMIS Top Fly Angler: Redfish/Trout
Angler catching the largest redfish on a fly and angler catching largest trout on a fly receives a plaque and prize package.
Optional Tournament Within a Tournament (TWT) Divisions*
Must enter to win! (10 percent of all optional Tournament Within a Tournament division entries will go toward running the tournament.) . Example: 60 boats at $25 = $1,500 minus 10 percent = $1,350 available cash purse. If fewer or greater than 60 boats enter, prize money will be adjusted accordingly. Winnings under the optional Tournament Within a Tournament divisions are awarded in addition to the tournament winnings. Only entrants officially registered in the tournament may enter the optional Tournament Within a Tournament divisions, and only the entrant may claim the winnings at the awards presentation. All rules pertaining to the Tournament shall apply to the optional Tournament Within a Tournament divisions
