New Smyrna/Daytona Beach Striker Offshore Tournament Prizes and Awards

Grand Prize:
BOAT, MOTOR AND TRAILER PRIZE DRAWING

Weigh an eligible fish over the minimum weight and you will have a chance to win a Boston Whaler 19 Nantucket with a 135-hp Mercury Optimax.

Each boat that weighs in a tournament fish over the minimum weight or brings in an acceptable release photo receives an entry into the boat/motor/trailer drawing. The fish do not have to appear on the final board. This will be effective for Friday and Saturday providing a chance to receive two entries, one per day per boat. Qualifying entrants will be combined in a single drawing for the boat package at Sunday's awards presentation. The boat must be present to claim the boat prize. The entrant will have two minutes to claim the prize before another slip is drawn. The winner is responsible for taxes.

Boat Awards: Boat awards are based on the teams that have the most species on the final standings board and total weight/points. Total weight/points is based on each boats fish weight and billfish points from the final standings board. A boat/entrant can be a winner in only two (2) places within a fish category. Since billfish are all-release, the first- through fourth-place billfish boats will be awarded points to be added with the other fish category weights. All fish will be weighed to the tenth of a pound with the weight of the fish determining the points allocated toward the boat awards. For instance if only one team has four species on the final board, they will be the winners of the boat awards. If two teams have four species on the final board then the team with the most weight/points will be the winner, with the other team assuming the next position. General tournament awards are based on total number of entries less 10%.

Fish Category Awards: The boats catching the four largest tuna (yellow, blackfin or bigeye only), wahoo, dolphin and king mackerel will receive cash and prizes. The boats having the four highest release points for billfish will also receive cash and awards.

Example: 100 boats entered at $400 per boat = $40,000 less 10% = $36,000 total available cash purse.
