Offshore Awards

New Smyrna Beach/Daytona Striker Offshore Tournament

Awards
Each registered boat entrant that weighs in a tournament fish over the minimum 15-pound weight limit receives an entry into the PRIZE DRAWINGS at the awards ceremony. Each boat can qualify for one drawing entry on Friday and Saturday, providing a chance to receive two total entries in the drawing. Qualifying entrants will be combined in drawings starting at 5:30 p.m. during Sunday's awards presentation. The boat entrant must be present to claim the prize. The entrant will have two minutes to claim the prize before another slip is drawn. The winner is responsible for taxes.

BOAT AWARDS
Boat awards go to the teams that have the most species on the final-standings board and total weight/points. Total weight/points are based on each boat's fish weight from the final-standings board. A boat/entrant can be a winner in only two (2) places within a fish category. All fish will be weighed to the 10th of a pound, with the weight of the fish determining the points allocated toward the boat awards. For instance, if only one team has four species on the final board, they will be the first-place winners of the boat awards. If two teams have four species on the final board, then the team with the most weight/points will be the winner, with the other team assuming the next position. Boat cash awards are based on the total number of entries less 20 percent. EXAMPLE: 100 boats entered @ $450 each = $45,000 less 20% tournament fee = $36,000 available cash purse. Winning teams will also receive trophies, prizes and an invitation to the IGFA Offshore World Championship.

FISH-CATEGORY AWARDS
Fish-category awards go to the boats catching the four (4) largest fish in each fish category including tuna (yellowfin, blackfin or bigeye only), wahoo, dolphin and king mackerel. A boat/entrant can be a winner in only two (2) places within a fish category.

CASH AWARDS
The tournament keeps 20 percent of all entry fees and awards the remainder in the purse. EXAMPLE: 100 boats entered @ $450 each = $45,000 less 20% = $36,000 available cash purse. If fewer than or greater than 100 boats enter, prize money will be adjusted accordingly.
